Clutha River Adventures offers a trip like no other.  We can take you on an adventure down the mighty Clutha that will take in spectacular scenery, awesome gorges and amazing gold history.

You can participate for a half-day or a full-day, from the head of the river at the Wanaka outlet to the beautiful stretches of the Clutha below Beaumont.  These are trips to be experienced by anyone with a moderate level of fitness and a big sense of adventure.

For a half-day, you can self hire one of our inflatable kayaks from Clyde or Alexandra and drift down the Clutha past some of the best scenery and history anywhere in New Zealand.  We will meet you at the gold mining town of Doctors Point with one of our super comfortable boats, serve you refreshments on the river bank and then transport you back to your starting point.

For a perfect week-end get-away or a mid-week mini break, experience 2 of the best activities that Central Otago has to offer with a 2 day, multi activity, float ‘n’ ride adventure.  Operated in conjunction with shebikeshebikes.

Full day adventures can be offered in a couple of locations on the river.  Lake Wanaka to Lake Dunstan, passing some of the Lakes Districts best scenery.  Roxburgh to Beaumont, traveling through the magnificent millennium track region.  Both guided, these days are epic trips in themselves, but also a great way of tasting the magnificence of the Clutha.  Leaving you then to decide if you want to go further or maybe the whole way!  We will guide you, regale you with stories and history, provide you with tasty food and generally entertain you with a day to remember.
